Drawing of Meridian Steel Domes
Space quadrilateral grid tank top steel reticulated shell, also known as two-way meridian reticulated shell.
Structural features:
a) The mesh rods are continuous members, and the curvature radius of each mesh rod is the same.
b) The upper and lower mesh poles are welded up and down.
Structure and composition:
The quadrilateral reticulated shell structure includes the following components:
a) Side ring beam: It is welded and connected with the upper plate of the tank wall, and is the main force-bearing part of the quadrilateral reticulated shell.
b) Upper and lower mesh poles: It is a dome-shaped space member system, which is formed by the intersection of two upper and lower sets of circular arc mesh poles that are spherical meridians along the north-south and east-west directions. The grid plane of the entire quadrilateral reticulated shell is axisymmetrically distributed. The intersection of the upper and lower mesh rods is overlapped, and the overlapping surfaces of the two rods are called nodes.
c) Support side node: The support side node is the gusset plate connecting the tank wall and the side ring beam with the upper and lower members. It is close to the long limb of the mesh pole, and the connecting end should bear the tank wall and the tapered plate of the side ring beam, and double-sided connection fillet welding shall be applied.
